Dr. Funmi Obilana | Host & Founder of Total Woman Inc.
Dr. Funmi Obilana is a lawyer by profession who left her ambition to fulfil God’s call upon her life. Dr. Funmi served with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the Department of Public Welfare and the Unemployment Compensation Agency of the Department of Labor and Industry. She is an author, motivator, international speaker, life coach, Church planter, and Pastor. Dr. Funmi is the founder and visionary of Total Woman Movement, a movement designed to give Hope, Empowerment, Love, Purpose to all women despite their socio-economic status. Dr. Funmi believes the girl child in every woman should get an opportunity to heal and live their best life. She believes it will take women to help women in building stronger families and inspire communities they reside in; and this is at the heart of the movement, “Total Woman HELPing women”! To this end, through Total Woman conferences, she has witnessed marriages healed and restored from abuse whether marital or familial, women overcoming challenges of self-esteem and worth, women going to the next level in their profession, rising of young entrepreneurs just to say the least. Dr. Funmi Obilana has been married for 36 years to Pastor Tope and still counting. Together they are blessed with two adult sons, daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. She has authored three books, Electric Thrills, Terminal D and Bundles respectively. Dr. Funmi cares about causes that affect the girl child and women in general i.e. human trafficking, domestic abuse, sexual abuse etc.
Pastor Mrs. Ibukun Awosika
Ibukun Awosika is an African Entrepreneur, Author, International Leader, and Global Culture Shaper. She is the Founder of The Chair Centre Group, a leading furniture and security systems provider in Nigeria. She is the Founder of Ibukun Awosika Leadership Academy, the Convener of The International Woman Leadership Conference in Dubai, and also the Founder of the Christian Missionary Fund, a faith-based organization spread across Nigeria to change lives.
With an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Ife Nigeria and advanced degrees from various global institutions, including Lagos Business School, IESE Business School, Wharton, and China European International Business School (CEIBS).
She serves as Chairman or Board member on various Corporate and non-profit boards around the world, across Education, Energy, IT, Manufacturing, Retail, Financial Services, Corporate Governance, and Advocacy.
She is a woman of many firsts; she is the first Chairperson of the Nigerian National Advisory Board for Impact Investing, the first Female Chairperson of Nigeria’s Premier Bank, First Bank, the first Nigerian recipient of the prestigious International Women Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Award, and the first African recipient of the International Friendship Award 2019 by the Queen of Spain.
She is committed to serving nations. She was recently appointed to the UK G7 Impact Taskforce and the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing (GSG). She is a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and served on the pioneer board of the Nigerian Sovereign Wealth Fund.
Her recent recognitions are the 2020 Forbes Woman Africa Chairperson Award; and Beta Gama Signa 2020 Business Achievement Award. She is a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative, Aspen Global Leadership Network, and a recipient of 4 Honorary Doctorate Degrees.
She is happily married to Abiodun Awosika and they are blessed with three wonderful sons.
Mrs. Tara Fela-Durotoye
Tara Fela-Durotoye R.O.I is an activator, inspiring communicator, and visionary business leader whose life’s work continues to empower women and entrepreneurs across Africa.
A pioneer of the Nigerian beauty industry, she founded House of Tara International, establishing the country’s first makeup academy, the first indigenous makeup brand, and the first national chain of makeup specialty stores. Over 25 years, she built a sustainable enterprise that set the standard for excellence and innovation before successfully transitioning leadership to a new Managing Director in 2024.
She is also the founder of the Building Beyond You Institute, a business development and legacy hub equipping founders, visionaries, and executives to build systems, institutions, and brands that outlast them.
Through her platform SEEP Africa, she is driving an ambitious goal to tackle unemployment by training and placing over one million sales professionals and entrepreneurs in sustainable careers and businesses across the continent.
Mrs Fela-Durotoye’s impact has been recognised both nationally and globally. She is a recipient of numerous awards, including the National Award of Excellence for Social Impact and Job Creation, a recognition by the Vice President of Nigeria and has been named by Forbes among Africa’s 20 Young Power Women and 50 Most Powerful Women in Africa. She was also the 2022 awardee of the International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC ). A Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, Tara’s passion for mentoring founders and entrepreneurs continues to inspire a new generation of business leaders.
A graduate of the Lagos Business School, with an executive leadership program from INSEAD, Yale University, and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
She is a member of the Royal Order of the Iwere Kingdom (ROI).
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tara is married to Fela Durotoye and mother to three sons. Her life is a shining example of purpose, impact, and legacy.
